Aleksandar Kokai is an architect originally from Belgrade, Serbia. His relocation to the UK in 2001 has initiated a long journey of experimentation with textures, atmosphere, dark ambience and the unorthodox, mostly through photography and music. He currently resides and works in London.

The work here is mainly inspired by brutalism, dystopia, industrial/metal music, decaying urban environments and displacement. A lot of the images use unconventional ways to explore atmosphere. All of the photos are displayed as they were taken, allowing the captured moments to exist unaltered.
